LED Beads Production Instructions and Precautions for Parameter Use

LED beads are particularly popular nowadays, whether it is making artistic light sources or direct lighting fixtures, they have irreplaceable and increasingly important positions. Today, the editor will introduce to you the relevant issues regarding the production instructions and parameter usage precautions of LED beads.


1. LED Beads with Excellent Application Current

1. The normal working current of 0.06W LED beads is 20mA, and the normal working current of 0.2W LED beads is 60mA.

2. Overcurrent protection: Excessive current can also cause LED beads to die out and the brightness to rapidly decay. In circuit design, different current limiting resistors should be matched according to the voltage drop of LED beads for series protection to ensure the normal operation of LED beads and achieve the best working state.


3. LED beads with the same power should operate under the same current conditions. If the current is too high, the lifespan of LED beads will be reduced. If the current is too small, it cannot achieve the required light intensity.


2. Brightness testing and product usage instructions

1. When testing VF, brightness, and wavelength, the normal operating current should be set based on the actual power of the LED beads. When testing VR, the IR should be set to 10uA, and when testing IR, the VR should be set to 5V. When detecting and using LED beads, it is necessary to provide the same current to each LED bead, i.e. using constant current detection, in order to ensure uniform brightness measurement.


2. When using LED beads that have been separated by light and color, they should be classified according to different BIN levels, and different BIN level products cannot be mixed and applied to the same product, resulting in poor product consistency. If mixed BIN levels are necessary, adjacent BIN levels can be used together, but should be avoided as much as possible.


3. Precautions for anti-static measures

2. All equipment, instruments, and workbenches that come into contact with LED beads should be equipped with grounding wires, especially the soldering iron and tin furnace that are welded must be well grounded; Measures to resist surge voltage are required in devices using LED beads.
3. Operators must wear anti-static gloves and wristbands, and ensure good grounding. Before coming into contact with LED beads, static electricity must be eliminated. The soldering iron or immersion welding equipment must be grounded, and an ion fan should be used to eliminate static electricity. It is strictly prohibited to touch the two pins of LED beads with bare hands.

4. Working and Storage Temperature of LED Beads
The operating temperature of LED beads is -30 ℃ to 60 ℃, and the storage temperature is -40 ℃ to 85 ℃. When powered on, make sure to work at high temperatures above 60 ℃. If there is any high temperature work, be sure to take heat dissipation protection measures.
